Unlock iPhone 4/3GS on iOS 5.1.1 using Sn0wbreeze 2.9.5 and Ultrasn0w fixer 5.1.1

Fortunately, their solution has already arrived with sn0wbreeze 2.9.5 as it provides an untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.1.1 while preserving the baseband. It’s a great facility as unlockers would also be able to enjoy the taste of iOS 5.1.1. So how exactly one would do that? Let’s dive in.

How to unlock iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS on iOS 5.1.1

Step #1: The first step obviously is to jailbreak your iPhone using sn0wbreeze 2.9.5. Follow our step by step guide for jailbreaking your iPhone untethered on iOS 5.1.1 using sn0wbreeze. Once you have jailbroken, come back here and follow step#2.
Step #2: You need to install Ultrasn0w Fixer 5.1.1 to unlock your iPhone. For that purpose, let’s add its source to Cydia first. Open Cydia on your iPhone, go to Manage tab at the bottom, then tap Sources. On the Sources screen, pick Edit on top right corner and then Add on top left corner to add a new source. In the resulting dialog box, type http://repo.iparelhos.com/ and proceed.

Step #3: Once the source has been added, search for Ultrasn0w Fixer 5.1.1 in cydia through the search tab at the bottom and install it.

Step #4: You need to install Ultrasn0w as well, search for it in Cydia and complete the installation.
Step #5: Reboot your device.
