Untethered Jailbreak AppleTV 4.4.4 (iOS 5.0.1) with Seas0nPass

iPhone Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team released @pod2g’s untethered jailbreak for iDevices two days ago but Apple TV was left out. iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak for Apple TV is now available with Seas0nPass. The untethered jailbreak is packaged by @nitoTV as always. The jailbreak method is exactly the same as past, only you don’t have to boot your Apple TV 2 tethered when the jailbreak process is completed. The detailed method is explained below in the form of a step by step guide, just follow on. Downloads Download Seas0nPass for Mac All of the above downloads are always available in our downloads section, just in case you need them later. Before you begin Don’t forget to keep your micro USB cable handy and make sure that no device is connected to your computer. Do also keep in mind that this guide is only for AppleTV 2. Make sure that your Apple TV 2 is on AppleTV 4.4.4 (iOS 5.0.1) build 9A406a. If you already have a tethered jailbreak on 4.4.4 jailbreak again to get the untethered jailbreak. How to: Untethered Jailbreak AppleTV 4.4.4 (iOS 5.0.1) in less than 5 minutes 1. Run Seas0nPass you downloaded above and alt+click (shift+click in windows) on Create IPSW and point it to the AppleTV 4.4.4 (iOS 5.0.1) 9A406a IPSW file you downloaded above.  Select "Create IPSW" 2. Connect your Apple TV 2 to your computer via the micro USB cord and leave the power cable unplugged. The front light on your Apple TV would start flashing rapidly. 3. Grab your Apple TV 2 remote (no Apple TV 1 remotes would work) and put your Apple TV 2 in DFU mode. For that purpose, point the remote to the Apple TV and press and hold the Menu and Play buttons simultaneously for about 7 seconds.  Waiting for DFU mode Once Seas0nPass detects Apple TV in DFU mode, it’d launch iTunes and restore there.  Restoring in iTunes 4. You are all done, your Apple TV 2 has an untethered jailbreak on AppleTV 4.4.4 (iOS 5.0.1). You can always reboot it without any problem and it’d retain the jailbreak.
