Download iOS 5 beta 7 IPSW for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad and iPod Touch

iOS 5 beta 7 is just pushed to Apple developers as an OTA (over the air) update. This latest beta release has some bug fixes and a few feature enhancements. Like all other betas, this one is also meant for developers only i.e the people having an iOS developer account with Apple which costs $100 a year. Apple requires the activation of iOS 5 beta 7 via a UDID before it is able to be used on an iOS device like iPad, iPod touch and the iPhone. There are always ways to ditch Apple’s restrictions, so is the case with iDevice activations for non developers who would be able to activate their devices with the upcoming sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 7.

For Jailbreakers

iOS 5 beta 7 has rolled out as an OTA update but if you had jailbroken iOS 5 beta 6 on your device, you won’t get the update over the air. You need to connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to a computer and update it via iTunes. Good news is that you can jailbreak iOS 5 beta 7 already with the latest version of redsn0w0.9.8 beta 7. If you can’t live without a jailbreak, then hold on for a few moments and we will be posting a jailbreaking guide in a while. You can however save time by starting the download already.

For Non-Jailbreakers

Everybody not having a jailbreak on iOS 5 beta 6 should have received iOS 5 beta 7 as an OTA update that comes directly to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch without the need to connect to a computer. If you did not jailbreak on iOS 5 beta 6 but want to jailbreak on iOS 5 beta 7 then do not upgrade for a few hours and watch this place for jailbreaking guide. Once we post the jailbreak guide, you can upgrade safely.

For Non-developers

If you do not hold an Apple developer account, you must not upgrade your iOS device to iOS 5 beta 7 for now as there’s no reliable work around to activate your device for now. Sn0wbreeze needs to be updated before it works with iOS 5 beta 7 as it uses md5 hashes to verify IPSW which are different in iOS 5 beta 7 than iOS 5 beta 6. You can however activate your device on iOS 5 beta 6 without any problem using sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 6. We have a pretty easy guide to help you with that. We’ll have a guide posted as soon as sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 7 is available for jailbreaking and activating iOS beta 7 but we do not recommend pirating Apple’s software, get an Apple developer account if you can’t live with a beta.

You can download iOS 5 beta 7 IPSW for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1, iPad 2, iPod Touch 3rd generation and iPod Touch 4. However it won’t be jailbreakable on iPad 2.
